Taco rice

Ingredients

  • 500g minced beef
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3-5 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 big size onion
  • 1/2 zucchini (optional)
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 tablespoon Japanese cooking Sake ( or red wine )
  • 1 chopped tomato can (400g)
  • 2 tablespoon tomato puree

For the sauce :

  • 3 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoon ketchup
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoon Paprika powder
  • 2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 cane sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder ( optional )
  • a tiny amount of salt (if desired )

Topping

  • Some of your favorite shredded cheese
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Cherry tomatoes

Instructions

  • 1. Heat a sauce pan or skillet on medium heat with olive oil for a few minutes. Add garlic and cook till get brown. Add onion and fry onion until golden brown.
  • 2. Add the minced beef. Stir-fry until the beef is no longer pink.
  • 3. Add gradually all sauce ingredients. Stir them well.
  • 4. Cook it with a lid for 30 mins - Stirring occasionally.
  • 5. Place about 1 cup of rice on a plate then top with beef which you just made, followed by shredded lettuce, cherry tomatoes and your favorite shredded cheese!
  • Serve with Chili!
  • Note : You can also add Chili when you add it with other sauces.
