Ingredients
- 500g chicken thigh - boneless - cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 onion - chopped
For the marinating
- 150g plain yogurt
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1/2 tbsp garlic paste
- 1 tbsp paprika powder
For the seasoning
- 1 or 2 bay leaf
- 5 cloves garlic - chopped
- 25g fresh ginger - chopped
- 1 canned tomato - 400g
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 chicken stock cube
- 40g butter
For the garnish
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- Chili to taste
Instructions
- 1. In a medium bowl, add chicken and all the marinating ingredients. Marinate the chicken for about 1 to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
- 2. Add the marinated chicken and all the seasoning ingredients in the slow cooker pot. And cook it on high for 4 hours.
- 3. Uncover and add heavy cream to mix.
- 4. Serve hot with steamed rice or some naans.
