Ingredients

- 250g of strawberries (and keep about 5 strawberries for decoration)
- 300mL milk
- 2g lemon juice
- 4 tbsp white sugar
- 1 tbsp vanilla (monin) syrup
- 10g gelatin powder
- 50ml water
- -B-
- 200ml heavy cream - beat until soft peaks form
- 2 tsp strawberry powder (optional)
- -C- For the top jelly
- 1/2 tsp kirsch
- 110ml water
- 1 tbsp white sugar
- 30ml water
- 3g gelatin powder
Instructions
- 1. Put all ingredients A (strawberries, milk, lemon juice, sugar and vanilla syrup) in your blender and make juice.
- 2. In a bowl, beat the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Add the strawberry mixture and strawberry powder (optional) into the whipped cream and mix well.
- 3. In a microwave-safe case, add 50ml water, gelatin and micro-wave it for about 15 seconds. Remove from the microwave oven and mix them to melt the gelatin.
- 4. Pour the gelatin mixture into the mousse mixture and mix well. Spoon the mixture into your dessert serving cups. Chill for about 3 to 4 hours or until set.
- 5. When the strawberry mousse has set, start making grenadine jelly on top:
- -a- In a small bowl, combine kirsch, sugar and 100ml water. Set aside.
- -b- In a micro-wave safe cup, add 30ml water and 3g gelatin. Micro-wave for 10 to 15 seconds, remove from the micro-wave and mix well to melt the gelatin.
- -c- Add the gelatin mixture into kirsch mix (made at no. 5a) and mix well. Pour the kirsch mixture over the firm strawberry mousse.
- 6. Add some sliced strawberries on top to decorate. Refrigerate again until set.
- Serve with whipped cream on top if desired (to your taste).
- Adjust the sweetness according to your taste.
