Ingredients
- (for 2 people) :
- 300g uncooked japanese rice
- 360ml water
- 1 can of sardines (115g about)
- 1/2 tsp dashi powder
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 or more red fresh chili
- some scallion
- a dash of fine salt if necessary
Instructions
- 1. Wash the rice well and drain.
- 2. Transfer into a cooking pot, then add water, canned sardine, salt, hondashi powder, soy sauce. Press sardine into the water.
- 3. Cover and cook over high heat. Once boiled reduce the heat to low and cook for 12 mins.
- 4. After 12 mins, turn off the heat (do not open the lid yet here) and let steam for 20 min.
- 5. Add red fresh chili, some scallion and mix gently.
- 6. Salt to your taste.
- 7. Enjoy!
